Waterfront Estate With Space for Yachts in Sarasota, Florida, Sells for $17.5 Million

A gorgeous waterfront estate in Sarasota, Florida, closed this week for $17.5 million, according to records. The palm-lined property on the affluent enclave of Harbor Acres sits on Sarasota Bay and has two properties that, according to Michael Sanders’ Linda Driggs and Kim Ogilvie listing, “can accommodate yachts over 75 feet tall.” Boat Docks & Company were not immediately available for comment.

The combined 1.8-acre property on the two lots went public in March of this year for $21.6 million, but the asking price was lowered to $19.9 million in June.

All gated properties boast 249 feet of waterfront, and their expansive outdoor spaces include newly installed tree and perennial landscaping, “a combination of oversized basketball and tennis courts,” hot tubs and rocks. Includes an outdoor saltwater pool with a waterfall.In marketing materials.

Over 12,000 square feet, the main residence features 6 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms and is accessed via a motor court that opens to a large foyer with mahogany doors, high ceilings and winding staircase.

The main level family room opens directly onto the outdoor pool area through glass pocket doors. The outdoor pool area has covered cabana seating and an outdoor kitchen with its own bar, grill and fireplace.

The main ‘owner’s wing’ includes a bedroom suite’s Juliet balcony, custom walk-in closet, yoga studio, private media room, private spa-like bathroom, and a wall of windows. According to the listing, on a terrace with expansive waterfront views.

PropertyShark records that the seller is not available for comment, but bought two of the two lots for $3.575 million in 2019. Information on the purchase price of the first lot was not available.

Other amenities on the property include an eight-plus car garage and a large ground level, according to the listing, “with a men’s cave, gym, massage room, wine cellar, and storage.”
