Twice the Mansion, Twice the Fun?

Two adjoining Fort Lauderdale mansions built for twin brothers and their families just hit the market for $54 million. French country-style homes face each other on over 11 acres of lush land, separated only by an artificial lake.

The home is listed by chiropractor Robert Lewin. He lived in the larger of his two (13000 Lane) with his wife Lisa and his four daughters. The open-air residence spans approximately 17,000 square feet and includes seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a staff bedroom, two half baths, and a guest house. Along the way, Harley Lewin, Robert’s twin brother, and his two sons began living in his 14,485-square-foot (13001 Lewin Lane) mansion on 3.6 Acres (3.6 Acres). Includes 5 bedrooms and 6 full bathrooms.

It features a neutral interior design by Josh Fein of Interiors. For the larger house, Fein created a series of towering rooms decorated with natural materials such as limestone floors, French oak ceilings, and custom stone staircases. The double-height great room opens onto a poolside outdoor seating area.

Built for entertaining, 13000 Lewin Lane’s has a dining room that seats up to 18 people. In the kitchen, high-end appliances such as the Wolf gas range and his Sub-Zero refrigerator are housed in Calcutta gold marble countertops and custom oak cabinets. The master bedroom on the ground floor is similarly upscale. There is a huge his two-story closet, an en-suite bathroom with views of the private garden, a Waterworks tub, and a marble shower.

The large house also has a theater, office space, outdoor kitchen, two separate 3-car garages, and an industrial Generac generator capable of powering the entire house.

The home’s master bedroom has hardwood floors, a living room, Donghia plywood wall coverings, a walk-in closet, and a hidden TV projector in the ceiling. Its main bathroom has a large steam shower with a sliding door leading to a full outdoor shower next to a sunken tub. Other special amenities at 13001 include 3 Sub-Zero wine chillers, outdoor infinity pool, covered lounge patio, game room, and 4-car garage parking.

“Exquisitely decorated throughout, these homes make you feel like you’re immersed in the beauty of France,” joint listing agent John Mann said in a statement. Absolutely stunning, making this property a delightful, private paradise. ”
