This app lets homeowners generate floor plans of their homes for free

Cubic Casaa Finland-based real estate software company, has launched a new product that allows homeowners to generate floor plans for free via an app.

Once you enter the address of your property, you can use CubiCasa’s 2D floor plan app to scan it with your phone and collect raw scanned images. Within 24 hours, the company says its floor plan sketch technology will provide a high-resolution floor plan file for the home.

“By offering a free version of our mobile scanning technology in the U.S., we are helping potential buyers make more informed decisions while helping brokers and sellers market their properties more effectively. and support both appraisers and lenders with a modern appraisal process, said Jeff Allen, president of CubiCasa.

While floor plans are in high demand by homebuyers, they remain a niche product in the United States, Allen said. “Floor plans are very common in other real estate markets around the world, and we think it’s time for the U.S. to catch up,” he said.

The app allows users to create a floor plan with fixed fixtures such as kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures and appliances, and an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) compliant Gross Living Area (GLA) report for $15 each. There is a selection of optional add-ons available. According to CubiCasa, users can request that he pay $10 and receive a floor plan within six hours.

CubiCasa says its technology can accurately calculate square feet, minimizing discrepancies and variations in the property data collection and inspection process. According to the company, square footage is his second-highest factor in determining a home’s value, after location.

The Finnish company claims its technology has been used in 172 countries and has produced more than one million floor plans.

September 2021, clear capital bought CubiCasa is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Capital and operates independently from its parent company. With this acquisition, CubiCasa’s automated floor plan sketching technology has been integrated with Clear Capital’s ClearInsight platform, a mobile property data collection application.
