Rapper Lil Wayne lists his contemporary home in Miami Beach, Florida for $29.5 million.
The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., bought a waterfront home in 2018 for $16.75 million, real estate records show.His Listed Agent, Cyril Matz
The musician declined to comment on why they are selling.
This home is located on Allison Island, an approximately 35 acre island in Biscayne Bay. The island, which is connected to the mainland by a bridge, is known for its luxury homes, Matz said.
Built in 2017, Mr. Carter’s home is approximately 10,600 square feet and has seven bedrooms. Other features include a movie theater with suede wall coverings, an elaborate mahogany-clad entryway, and a stunning room with 22-foot-high ceilings. Sliding doors open to a backyard with a large outdoor pool, Matz said.
A spokeswoman for Mr. Carter could not be reached for comment. Carter, a New Orleans native, has owned real estate in Miami for many years.Before this house, he owned another Miami Beach A property with a rooftop skate park and shark lagoon, Sold for $10 million in 2017.
The contemporary home is approximately 10,600 square feet.
The property is located on Allison Island.
The rapper purchased the home for $16.75 million in 2018.
The cinema has suede wallcoverings.
Matz said he believes there is still strong demand for ready-to-move homes like this in the Miami area, despite the recent decline in the luxury market. He sold the house next door to him in January for $16.5 million and said the buyer plans to tear it down and build a new one from scratch.
Mr. Carter recently announced plans to release the latest in his long-running “Carter” album series.
