The property was owned by Craig Electronics founder Joel Newman and his wife Edith Newman for nearly 40 years, according to Selhunt. After migrating from Havana, Cuba, Newman launched Craig Electronics, a company that provides electronics to retailers. He died earlier this year.

Newman’s property is one of the largest on Golden Beach, with a 250-foot direct seafront frontage, pool, and approximately 32,000-square-foot main building. Prior to Mr. Newman’s death, the family was in the midst of a refurbishment, and the property has plans to request approximately 10 bedrooms, a poolside guesthouse and entertainment and wellness space.

According to census data, the population of Golden Beach between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean is less than 1,000. Despite its small size, Golden Beach has long attracted money-making businessmen and celebrities, Selhunt said, but it has the high prices found in nearby Miami Beach and Palm Beach. I never ordered. Selhunt said the asking price for Newman’s real estate is justified by the demand for large oceanfront real estate in the Miami and Palm Beach areas. He said he believes that Golden Beach has historically been undervalued.

“Is $ 100 million a lot of money? Yes,” Selhunt said. “But this is a $ 300 million real estate property on Palm Beach and could be more.”
