A new residential and commercial community is coming to Harbor Creek Township.

Harbor Village development will be built from Buffalo Road between Harbor Creek Township City Hall (west) and Wal-Mart (east) and will include town homes, garden apartments, swimming pools, clubhouses and restaurants.

Joe Palermo, Chief Financial Officer of Palermo Realty and Development, which builds Harbor Village, said:

Summit development: What’s behind the Copper Leaf?

Development is similar to Copperleaf, a mixed residential and commercial complex near the Summit Township’s Edinboro and Hershey Roads. The complex was built by Palermo Realty & Development in 2018 and is now fully occupied.Amenities include: Main Street Cake Lee Cafe..

“Harbor Village is very similar to Copper Reef, which has a community and neighborhood atmosphere,” Palermo said.

The Copper Leaf Complex is valued at over $ 40 million. “This complex will be about the same,” Palermo said.

The development of Harbor Creek includes 108 one-bedroom and two-bedroom garden apartments and 70 three-bedroom town homes. It will be built on 25 acres of land acquired from the Blanchefield family and Harbor Creek Township.

The development will also provide a garage for one and two cars, two swimming pools (one for adults and one for families), and a clubhouse with community rooms.

The main access to the complex is from Harbor Village Drive, which will be built between Municipal Drive and Gifford Drive. The complex is also accessible from Gifford Drive.

The four buildings near the front door of the complex will be custom-rented to commercial tenants.

“We are looking for a casual dining restaurant and bar, and perhaps a cake shop-like delicatessen in two buildings, leaving the other two to other tenants, perhaps something like a cosmetologist.” Said Palermo. “We are looking at a commercial space that provides amenities to residents.”

Final township approval for development is expected this month. Construction is scheduled to begin next spring. According to Palermo, the residential unit should be ready for tenants in 2024.
