Curtain wall construction completed our last update In May, a gap remained exposed in the south elevation where the construction elevator was installed. Most of the sidewalk scaffolding was then dismantled and replaced with orange and white barriers as the final finish around the first floor.
The ground floor frontage is now visible, including the white marble walls that make up the main entrance facing 11th Avenue and along West 38th Street. The new sidewalk still needs to be poured around, after which the barricades and chain link fences will be removed.
The Leasing Gallery is open on the ground floor facing 11th Avenue. The photo below highlights the exterior of the main entrance in south elevation, featuring a revolving door flanked by two swing doors. The marble frame around the doorway is trimmed with stainless steel to match the spandrels of the curtain wall above.
Lyra NYC amenities include a residential sky lounge, golf simulator, squash court, fitness center, co-working stations, and other features yet to be announced. The nearest subway is the 7 train at the 34th Street-Hudson Yards station in Vera Abzug Park to the south. 1, 2, 3, A, C, and E trains, NJ Transit, and Amtrak trains are within walking distance east of Penn Station.
Construction should be fully completed by the end of the year.
