Curtain wall installation in progress 65 Private Drivea 40-story residential tower and the tallest component of the four towers. Karie Place master plan of green point, brooklynit is designed by Cooper Robertson & Partners. SLCE Architects while designing the building M&H Realty is the developer of the 439-foot tall building at the intersection of West Street and Oak Street on the East River.
At that time our last update In late October, the reinforced concrete superstructure was about ten stories above the multi-level podium. Since then, construction has reached its climax, with most of the tower being enclosed in floor-to-ceiling glass, leaving only a handful of levels below the mechanical bulkhead. The gap in the South Envelope where the was attached is being steadily filled. Balcony railings in the middle of the north elevation and in the corners of the building should begin installation soon.
We also found a pile driver on a lot just south of 65 Private Drive. This location could be one of three additional towers in the Calyer Place waterfront development.
The main photo rendering faces east and shows a light-colored curtain wall of floor-to-ceiling glass bordered by white and gray paneling. Dark mullions add depth to the windows, and balconies are lined with glass railings. Stepped podiums along the riverfront have landscaped terraces, while the ground floor features new trees, shrubbery, seating, and expansive lawns that slope toward the stone walls along the East River.
Calyer Place will also have a 40-story tower and new 22- and 32-story skyscrapers. Together, the $500 million development will create 700 apartments in 1 million square feet, 10,000 square feet of retail space, 7,160 square feet of unspecified community facilities, and parking for over 600 vehicles.
A completion date for the first tower at 65 Private Drive has not yet been announced, but it will likely be next year.
